HOW TO CANCEL
This section answers several questions regarding cancellation and/or deletion of orders
and backorders.
HOW TO CANCEL AN ORDER WITH A PICKING DOCUMENT IN THE WAREHOUSE
If this is the initial release, then order preview will do the job. Otherwise, credit release
maintenance allows cancellation of the release and all in-pick quantities. Order
maintenance can then cancel any backorders.
HOW TO CANCEL BACKORDERS
Order maintenance can cancel any backorders.
WHAT IS THE AFFECT OF THE "CANCEL" OPTION IN---
Order Entry: Cancels order.
Order Maintenance: Cancels order and/or any open backorders.
Order Preview: Cancels both the order and release.
Verification: Cancels the work done, release and order remains
unchanged.
Specific Release: Cancels the work done, order remains the same.
Consignment: Cancels the work done, consignment remains
unchanged.
Release Maintenance: Cancels the work done, release remains unchanged.
The Purchasing Menu gives the user access to Purchasing, Contracts/Rebates, Inventory Management and Tender/Bids functions.
