HOW TO CANCEL
This section answers several questions regarding cancellation and/or deletion of orders
HOW TO CANCEL AN ORDER WITH A PICKING DOCUMENT IN THE WAREHOUSE
If this is the initial release, then order preview will do the job. Otherwise, credit release
maintenance allows cancellation of the release and all in-pick quantities. Order
maintenance can then cancel any backorders.
HOW TO CANCEL BACKORDERS
Order maintenance can cancel any backorders.
WHAT IS THE AFFECT OF THE "CANCEL" OPTION IN---
Order Entry: Cancels order.
Order Maintenance: Cancels order and/or any open backorders.
Order Preview: Cancels both the order and release.
Verification: Cancels the work done, release and order remains
Specific Release: Cancels the work done, order remains the same.
Consignment: Cancels the work done, consignment remains
Release Maintenance: Cancels the work done, release remains unchanged.
The Purchasing Menu gives the user access to Purchasing, Contracts/Rebates, Inventory Management and Tender/Bids functions.
Warehouse Management & Inventory
The Sales Analysis Menu gives the user access to various sales history reports and inquiries.
Sales Management Menu
The Accounting Menu gives the user access to multiple accounting functions; Costing and Inventory Evaluation, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Leger.
The File Maintenance Menu gives the user access to various maintenance functions; Company, Customer, Product and Vendor.
The Utility Menu gives the user access to various MDS
and Printer Settings, Default General Leger Setup's,
File Purging, ODBC Maintenance and Import/Export functions.
The Optional Systems Menu gives the user access to EDI,
Salesman Laptop, Service, Raw Materials, Electronic Mail,
Inventory Management, EMS and Pharma functions.
These functions are in addition to the MDS features.
Use the quick search menu to easily drill down into any operational area of the MDS system
